Too old? My mother-in-law had her ears pierced for the first time last year
when she was 72...? They became infected and she had to leave the earrings out for a while, so consequently, they closed up. She had them re-pierced a few months later and the same thing happened again. She has been told to leave the piercing until September when they have completely healed. Is it really worth her paying again or is it best to leave it?
Odds are, they may close again. Her body is old, so her skin is her main defense (because most older people have weak immune systems) so it constantly tries to repair puntures. Don't waste the money if it happened twotimes before.
she might be allergic to the type of metal used in the earing. make sure she cleans it everyday maybe even twice a day and dont touch it because the bacteria from her hamds will irritate and infect the ear=]
