how long does a landlord have to produce a copy of the tenancy agreement if
you have lost yours (uk law)? i want to get a copy of my tenancy agreement cos i lost mine but the landlord is awkward abd unhelpful. do they have to provide one and how long do they have to do so?
cheers
There is no law that says there is a time limit, he could have given you a copy on the spot if he wanted, and since you LOST yours he sees no rush. Give him 24 hours and request again nicely.
A landlord can supply a copy of your tenancy agreement, but he also has the right to charge you for this.
There is no law to say how long it takes to provide one.
