wat is the law about bon fires do i have to have them at a certain time?

i was having a bon fire only little like a meter by meter if that and a nabour from 3 doors up came and complained saying she couldnt breath and that she is getting smoke through her window even thought she had her double back doors open and 2 windows i thought it would be more concideret to do it at night as its been lovely weather and children play in the garden dueing the day please help !!!
