norton internet security 2007/08 and java?

hi i have been struggling for a while to work out why my java wont work and then i decide to turn off norton internet security and what do you know i could watch videos on youtube. now if anybody could tell me where i could find it in norton to let java run while it is on it would be a great help thank you.
