Default Problems installing JAVA?

this installation package could not be opended, verify that it exists and that you can access it or contact the vendor. ect. .... please help so that i can install it!!!

i have tried deleting it and reinstalling anyway i cant uninstall it in the 1st plack because i never get to finish the installation!!!!! HELP!!!

when i try to open limewire it says download java, limewire requires java 5.0 or over thats why i really need it!!!

back to basics.
go off line and try to delete file.
use add and remove.
if you can not find the file .
look in search~type in java all files~then click on search.
when the file shows ~delete it
go back on line.
with the file deleted go to java home page and download the latest version
your antivirus system or firewall may be blocking the download .
try turning them off and download.
turn them back on then
unless you must have limewire try "ares"

Don't ever use vista, not compatible with many things, just wasting time using vista.
I tried using java on vista but not compatible, I switched back to xp, xp more compatible with other stuff, like java, shockwave etc...
