Has anyone else installed Open Office offered free from Java?

The installation seems complicated, asking about mirrors etc.
I have microsoft works already, so is it worth downloading open office?

Yep I have.
Personally I prefer Office but if you would rather not pay silly prices then Open Office is a perfect alternative.
