Why can't my new O2 XDA Stellar (aka HTC TyTN II) find any GPS Satellites?

I'm using Google Maps and have told it to "Use GPS" in the menu, yet it never finds any!

I have used "QuickGPS" that came with the device to download satellite data

I have tried outside on a sunny day with no clouds

This is a brand new device, I got it yesterday, so it is (or should be) working fine

What am I doing wrong?
