I think in UK is most common....because people in US tend to analyze more what you're saying....it's like they try to find the meaning instead of realizing that actually it is about teasing and nothing serious...

Yes, people usually like teasing me because of the reaction they get out of me. It's common behavior in the US, not sure about if it's more common in the UK, if anything I'd say it's about the same.
