They'd be kicking the lid off the coffin and making a comeback if they knew how much money they could make.

I see your point though, but it's often the agents that tell them to act this way. I'm sure Lamp's agent said stay another year, get a Bosman transfer so we can pocket the extra money ourselves. Seeing as he'd be on a large percentage of any income Lamp's would get..Just hope Frank does the right thing and gives Chelsea the 10 mill transfer fee, or you'll see yet another excuse for increasing gate prices again!

yes, but they would be more angry about the fact that groups of lads don,t go to the games and sing on the terraces

its a tourist and TV game now not a local community event

players get in to academy's so young and even the kids that never make it are big heads at school ,,and the ones that do make it turn into scum, like ronaldo, but all footballers are no good i guess

if i would have become a millionaire at 17 then i would be a shit as well

dead right Dan....I remember the days when you just turned up at the turnstiles and payed your money to go and STAND on the kop.....some of the European nights there were thousands of fans locked out because the ground was full....it makes me mad that week after week there are thousands of people at my clubs' games who are not particularly interested in the match but are there for the corporate hospitality.......I'm sure the likes of the 'greats' you mentioned would be embarassed by all that..

I think they would be devastated to see what their beloved sport has turned into. These men had love and passion for the game in their veins. They are the kinds of fellows we need in the FA ! Men that will work for the game first.
