Is freedom of speech in the world of football a thing of the past?
Blatter has said that he thinks Manchester United should let Cristiano Ronaldo leave. So? Everybody has an opinion, don't they?
The reaction to his comments are ridiculous. People are calling him all sorts of names, but if he's such an idiot as people make him out to be, why do his comments matter so much?
He has an opinion, and as a major name in European football he is allowed to voice that opinion.
Why is it such an issue?
Lion of Judah:
Yeah, he went way over the top but still...what he said is pretty much the same as what I've heard loads of people say. He's not alone with his thoughts, but he gets slated because of his position.
TJ:
Actually, I would WANT Torres to leave if that was the situation. I'd welcome Blatter's comments.
Carolyn:
But people asked him about it! Is he supposed to say "No comment" every time he's asked about it? Or lie about what he thinks?
XY:
Like I explained to TJ, I would welcome Blatter's comments if Torres or Gerrard were in Ronaldo's situation.
Oh, and I don't hate Manchester United at all. I hate the so-called "fans" who have to use "coz were betta than u" in every "explanation" they try to give for their ridiculous comments.
