I have a TOSHIBA 37AV505D that has normaly a very very good picture but when ever...

...football comes on the? I have a TOSHIBA 37AV505D that has normaly a very very good picture but when ever football comes on the picture quality is quite rubbish?? WHY?? The tennis is very very good no distortion even when the men are hitting 120mph serves.
Is it a ploy for us to subscribe to the HD service???
