How can I host a web-cam?

Nothing adult, just the traffic outside my window.

Looking for places where it can be hosted and "advertised".

There are lots of ways to get your idea out of your bedroom and onto the web!

1 - create your own website. Buy a domain at a site like godaddy.com, and set up your videocam to stream the footage.
2 - create your own blog. You could make a video blog/profile at a site like justin.tv , and simply keep your camera recording street traffic 24/7.
3 - contact websites interested in your traffic. Is there a local weather or traffic website monitoring your area? Perhaps even a town website that would be happy to host a rolling video of what's going on in your town.
4 - bloggers. Go to technorati.com and search for bloggers who would have an interest in traffic, your local area, or other related field your webcam would monitor (movement of pedestrians?). Contact them with your idea, and voila! Your content could be on the net.
