Any good programs for getting songs from ipod?

Does anyone know any good programs for getting songs from an ipod to my computer

I dont have a current ipod, or an ipod anymore..
however, i did have a version of realplayer that i was able to get my music on and off the ipod without itunes. I think we moved music from the ipod to the computer with it too.

this isn't the supported way as an ipod is paired to a single computer if you plug it into another remember to say NO to the pair message otherwise it will overwrite your ipod and you will lose its contents until you re-pair it with your previous computer.

for programs that do this (I use YamiPod on the Mac but other programs are available)

to chose a program you want go to www.versiontracker.com and then enter ipod transfer in the search box an choose one that meets your needs and operating system.

the problem you have is that if your music has been put on your pod using itunes then the pod would have been synced to that version of itunes for that computer, making the tunes exclusive for another PC only to rip off the pod.
NB if you sync your pod with another computer you will loose the music on it!

i would say the best thing to do is use audio grabber, down load a copy from the net, then once you got it go to "line in sampling" and then attach your pod to you PC or lap top using so that audio grabber can record the tunes which are being played from your pod. audio grabber put simply is just recording program.

once the pod Tunes have been recorded via audiograbber then using audiograbber again by dragginf the recored file back int it you can normalise and make mp3 making your tunes enabled to manipulate again.

read the instructions that come with audiograbber.!!

Its completly free and on download.com so spyware free.
I used it the other day, it works with all iPods.

It just copies everything off your ipod and puts in in a folder on your pc that you say.
