When downloading a program from the internet do i click run or save for it to
work properly? I am downloading a trial version of photoshop CS3 extended.
When i click it too download it gives me the option to either 'run'
or 'save'.
Which one should i choose for the program to work properly?
If you save it, you then goto downloads folder and open and run it from your computer, it will save you the time going back to the website if you want to re-install the program as the file is saved in downloads folder.
For a large file like Photoshop CS3, it would be best to save the file then double-click it to start the installation.
However, "Run" and "Save" will work exactly the same. You can elect to "run" the download (which will still download the file to a temporary folder, then start the installation by itself) or "save" (in which case you double-click it to start the installation, like I said above.)
