Default can itv programming get any worse ?

itv have to cut costs due to a fall in advertising revenue.all itv seem to be able to make now are endless episodes of emmerdale ,corrie and x factor and rubbish with ant and dec so how can things get any worse.the only good show they imported last year was pusshing daisies and they didn't show all of that.
i've read that alot of the old shows screened on itv 3 and 4 are cut to allow for more ads as the ad time per hour was less on their ariginal screenings .shows like the sweeney ,minder etc.
i probably won't notice when we do go digital i only watch monk, doctor who ,house and new tricks .it will be cheaper to buy the dvds than get a tv licence.
