Can you give me some details about the new ps3 coming out please ?

i just read that the new 80gb ps3 is being released in the uk
but i have already got a ps3, i bought it last christmas
it is the 40gb one

but i heard that this new 80gb one will be backward compatible and play ps2 and ps1 games ?

is this true ?

if so will it have the slots for memory cards for the ps2 or will it save like ps3 games do in the hard drive ?

and should i sell my current ps3 and get this one instead ?

because i still play my ps2 for like fifa 08, killzone, black ect....
and it would be easier....

The new PS3 WON'T be backwards compatible. It will be a 40GB version with a bigger harddrive. They are removing the software that allows emulation to once again cut-back the price. I think people need to stop whining about the price. All it does is make the system worse in my opinion.

The 80gb version will have a software emulator to allow it to play the most popular earlier ps titles. But get with the times, you need next gen, all out, crazy online, next gen stuff.
