Default How can I view Chinese/Japanese/Thai/Korean characters through my web

browser (firefox), MSN e.t.c.? I have tried installing language packs, I selected the language options and tried to add east asian languages from control panel but I always get a message which says "The file 'kbdjpn.dll' on Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM is needed, please select the path". But then when I insert the XP CD it still doesn't find the file. How do I do this?

It has nothing to do with installing anything. Maybe the file kbdjpn.dll is corrupted from your MS CD [kbd = keyboard, jpn = Japanese language, .dll = dynamic link library file extension]. You won't need it, unless you need IME in Japanese to input. Otherwise, you could use other software easily available for download anywhere online.
If you are not at a website in those particular languages, of course it won't show up!

In FireFox, click on View, Character Encoding, and look for the language that you are using by geographical location.

It's all very simple. You don't have to download them. They are in the system tools in every Window XP P C. Here's what you do : click 'start', then click 'all program', followed by ' accessories', then ' system tools' and finally ' character map'.
In ' character map', you will find all kinds of language character, choose either NSimSun, PMingLiu, SimSun, SimHei or MingLiu to find Asian language character. If you don't want to waste time at scrolling down all the character map to find a particular vocabulary, then click ' advanced view' in the bottom , and in ' group by' , click one of these : Japanese Kanji by Hiragana, Japanese Kanji by Radical, Japanese shift JIS Subrange, Korean Hanja by Hangul, Simplified Chinese by PinYin, Traditional Chinese by Bopomofo.
