Default Do you think that your government should be able to track your finances abroad?

I currently have a farm and house in the Philippines and soon several apartments. Do you think that the British govt should have a right to tax these as part of my combined annual income?
My wife is a Filipina. Dont complicate the question please..lol

Something fishy here you cannot outrightly own these types of properties in the philippines unless your a citizen. You can be a partner in a business venture in the Philippines. If these properties are under your Philipina wife's name then she owns them not you.Now to answer your question yes you have to pay taxes to the British government if you are a citizen of Uk and is a partner and no if your wife owns them.

if you are living in Britain then i think it would be right for them to tax you on all of your income, including income from abroad, if you were British and living in the philipines then no, no tax shud have to be paid

if you are living in Britain - should be taxed

Yes.

Taxes are paid on personal profit. If you moved all your assets overseas then you would pay no tax, which is against the ethical ideal of "some" redistribution of wealth.
