What degree for a career in corporate finance?

I'd really like someone who knows about this proffession to help me. I know its kind of late considering that my results come out next week, and if I get ABB i will be off to loughborough to do systems engineering, but i only picked this cos i'm good at maths and physics. and in my heart i know i'd LOVE to go into corporate finance cos i love maths and business. like investment banking or something. and well i was wondering is systems engineering gonna help me at all? or shall i think about changing to something like banking and finance or business or something? does it matter a lot? engineering does give good skills in maths and project work and management skills. help!
